Site Security

What is an SSL Certificate?
SSL is a standard security protocol which establishes encrypted links between a web server (our website) and a browser (you), thereby ensuring that all communication that happens between a web server and browser(s) remains encrypted and hence private. In addition to encryption, it also ensures authentication of the website you are on and the integrity of the data.

What is PCI Compliant?

The Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance is a set of requirements that basically says if you are a company that processes, stores or transmits credit card information, you have to do that securely. Being PCI compliant means consistently adhering to a set of guidelines set forth by the PCI Standards Council. Its six major requirements include the following:

  1. Build and Maintain a Secure Network and Systems
  2. Protect Cardholder Data
  3. Maintain a Vulnerability Management Program
  4. Implement Strong Access Control Measures
  5. Regularly Monitor and Test Networks
  6. Maintain an Information Security Policy

How do you know that our site is secure?

IndustryGreetings.com, owned by ON-PRESS Printing Services Inc, is both SSL Certified and PCI Compliant for your safety.

For SSL: click on the padlock in the browser window to the left of the web-address. You'll see the "Connection is secure" item in the drop down.

Select that option in the drop down for more detail and a link to the “Certificate” which will show ‘valid’ with the current date.

For PCI: click on the “Trusted Commerce” link at the bottom of our site to open/review the validation.

A static copy of our SSL certificate and PCI validation is included here but can be checked on our site at any time for comfort and security while shopping online at IndustryGreetings.com

In addition, when you order, your credit card information goes directly to our Secure Credit Card processor Authorize.Net (or PayPal if you choose to pay with your PayPal account). We do not receive or store credit card information internally, again, for your protection.

Privacy

What do we do with your email?

We value your trust and appreciate that you allow us to contact you from time to time. We hate spam and are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. We will never sell or share your information with any party other than those who need it to process payments or shipments of your placed order such as PayPal or UPS. We also don’t flood your inbox every day. (We hate that too.)  When agreeing to receive our promotional emails (newsletters) you are agreeing to receive, roughly, four emails each year. We do send most all of those four emails in the Fall and may have an annual survey for site/company feedback early in the year, but that’s about it.  And of course, you may unsubscribe at any time.

How do we manage your personal information?

In general, please know that your privacy is important to us and that information that is collected is done for purposes of order fulfillment, customer service and analytics, and for site optimization and fraud detection/prevention. Our full Privacy Policy can be reviewed in our Terms of Use. We use this information internally and we do not share or sell it with the exception that necessary information is shared with our payment gateway and/or courier service for the sole purpose of smooth order completion.
